I'm Steve Nelson. My wife Kathleen and I have seven kids ages ten months through thirteen years old. I am a copastor at The Rio Community Church in El Paso, TX, and Kathleen stays home and manages the kiddos. We've just recently moved to Texas from Colorado to help start a church. Our kids are Blaise (14), Hope (12), Silas (10), Kez (7 1/2), Malia (5 1/2), Jireh (4), and Jaza (1).  During our 16 years of marriage, we’ve had the incredible opportunity to have been around a number of godly parents who’ve shown us what it looks like to apply biblical principles to our families.  Much of what you’ll find on this site is what we’ve learned from these exemplary parents, from our own Bible reading, and of course, from the school of hard knocks.

Our desire is to help other parents who are also striving to raise godly kids in a crazy mixed-up world.
